How it works
The Takaful Platinum Plus Plan, explained plainly
The Takaful Platinum Plus compresses saving into the first 3 years: contributions (minimum 65,000 a year) stop after year 3, while the membership runs to year 10.
Its death benefit is the standout: the nominee receives twice the face value plus any declared bonuses, plus the carrying value of the participant's investment fund.
At maturity the plan pays the face value with declared bonuses and the investment fund's value, plus any surplus distributions from the Takaful pool.
- Years 1–3
You pay 3 annual premiums. Cover and bonus participation start immediately.
- Years 4–10
Nothing more to pay. The policy stays fully in force and keeps earning bonuses.
- Year 10
Maturity: sum assured plus all bonuses declared over the full term.
What the policy pays
Benefits, as State Life defines them
- Contribute for 3 years; covered and participating for 10.
- On death: twice the face value plus declared bonuses, plus the investment fund's carrying value.
- On maturity: face value plus declared bonuses, the investment fund's value and any declared surplus.
- Term Takaful Rider included as standard; optional Accidental Death Benefit (entry to age 50).
Optional riders: Term Takaful Rider (TTR, standard) · Accidental Death Benefit (ADB, optional)

✓ Who it suits
- • Savers with strong cash flow now who want the shortest possible commitment on the Shariah track.
- • Anyone comparing the conventional Platinum Plus who prefers a Takaful contract — with a double-face-value death benefit.
✗ Who should not buy it
- • Budgets under the plan's minimum contribution — the 3-year window concentrates the saving.
- • Anyone wanting a fixed maturity quote; bonuses and surplus follow the Takaful fund's results.

How your money actually grows
Most State Life savings plans are with-profit: each year the corporation values its fund and declares bonuses for participating policyholders — State Life states it distributes 97.5% of its surplus to them. Bonuses attach to your policy and are paid with your sum assured at maturity or with a claim. In 2025, State Life allocated a record PKR 181 billion in profit bonus. Read the numbers →

Before you choose the Takaful Platinum Plus Plan
How is this different from the conventional Platinum Plus?
Same pay-3/cover-10 rhythm, two differences that matter: the contract is Takaful (Waqf pooling, surplus sharing, Shariah supervision), and the death benefit is twice the face value plus bonuses and the fund value — the conventional plan pays one sum assured plus bonuses.
What is the minimum I can put in?
65,000 a year, paid annually for the first three years. Lump-sum top-ups are accepted on State Life's terms if you want to add more while the window is open.
Who can join?
Entry ages run from 1 to 60, with the membership maturing by age 70. The optional accidental rider accepts entry to age 50 and ends at 60.
Is it Shariah-compliant?
Yes — offered under the SECP-licensed Tayyab Window Takaful Operations with Shariah supervision. We can share the documentation with your illustration.
How do I get an exact quote?
By personal illustration — State Life's online calculator does not cover Takaful plans. WhatsApp us your age and intended contribution and we return the official illustration, usually within a business day.
What is an investment or savings plan?
It is a life-insurance plan that does two jobs at once: it protects your family, and it builds up a savings amount you receive later — on maturity, at retirement, or at a milestone like a child's education. You pay regular premiums and the plan grows over time.
What does your advice cost me?
Nothing. Our consultation is free and we do not charge you a fee. We are paid a standard commission by the insurer when a plan is issued, which is why we will tell you plainly when a plan is not right for you.
