What happened

In July 2024, State Life partnered with Sindh Police to provide health insurance to over 127,000 police personnel and their dependents across the province — one of the larger employer health programs in the country.

Each family receives PKR 1 million of annual health cover, spanning inpatient hospitalization as well as outpatient (OPD) services, with cashless access to more than 1,000 empaneled public and private hospitals nationwide. The signing brought together IG Ghulam Nabi Memon and State Life CEO Shoaib Javed Hussain, with Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah's government backing the initiative.

Beyond the policy document

A policy only helps if people know how to use it. State Life committed to running awareness sessions so beneficiaries understand what is covered and how to access treatment — a detail we wish more group programs copied.

The Sidq Advisors take

For many households, an employer group policy like this is the first insurance they've ever had. Two things we tell clients in that position: first, learn what your employer cover actually includes (limits, dependents, OPD). Second, remember it ends when the job does.

We help families build a top-up around employer cover — so protection continues regardless of where you work.

Frequently asked questions

What does the PKR 1 million limit mean?

It is the annual ceiling of medical expenses covered per family; inpatient and OPD usage draws from it as per program rules.

Is treatment really cashless?

At the 1,000+ empaneled hospitals, yes — the hospital settles directly with State Life.

I have employer cover. Do I need anything else?

Often yes: employer cover lapses when employment ends and may not fit your family's full needs. A personal plan fills that gap — we can size one for you.
